This is a blend of 6 to 8-year old Armagnacs with 80% Bas-Armagnac.

It is fruity, with wooden notes and very flexible in the mouth.
It comes in a Saint-Pierre bottle in luxurious packaging.

VS0P is aged a minimum of six years, which is 50 percent longer   than is required by French law.

The added age attributes to its fine amber color.

There is a very good concentration of fruit on the nose. 

There is a wonderful aroma of prune, not at all aggressive. 

It's what some refer to as an "armchair" armagnac.

That is, an armagnac one can sit down and think about, which is not often expected in a plain VS0P. There is a lovely, spirity effect on the palate, due to long aging in oak casks.

This armagnac is a wonderful amber-mahogany color with flecks of green.

The nose is very fine, though due to the age, the spirit is tending to show through a bit more than

the fruit.

There are very complex, delicate floral aromas and still the prune present.

This is very smooth on the palate with a sweet, coffee richness.

The style is much more rich than the armagnacs which have preceded it' almost a liqueur.

It has  fabulous masses of extract, and is a very interesting armagnac with a slight impression of

wood.

Sempe Armagnac 1930.

This armagnac is a wonderful amber-mahogany color with flecks of green.

The nose is very fine, though due to the age, the spirit is tending to show through a bit more than

the fruit.

There are very complex, delicate floral aromas and still the prune present.

This is very smooth on the palate with a sweet, coffee richness.

The style is much more rich than the armagnacs which have preceded it' almost a liqueur.

It has  fabulous masses of extract, and is a very interesting armagnac with a slight impression of

wood.

It has a lusciousness, and is best described as unctuous. Approximate retail price $475.

What is sometimes referred to as rancio, which means yellowish with a faint green tinge.

This is a complex, quality armagnac.

It is wonderfully aged with a beautiful texture on the nose.

Very good balance.

A little more spirited than the V.S.0.P.

However, there is a good depth of flavor and smoothness on the palate.

Approximate retail price $45 (750 ml).

In the mouth, it stretches from vanilla to wood, developing with notes of aged leather.

been blending brandies made by the Simple Chauffe together with those distilled in Double

In 1909 President Fallieres signed a Decree delimiting the Armagnac Appelation Controlee Area

which is divided into three regions.

 

Bas-Armagnac, Tenareze and Haut Armagnac.

 

Today only Bas-Armagnac and Tenareze produce wines for distillation.

 

More than 20.000 hectares of vineyards worked with traditional grapes such as Piquepoul and

Folle Blanche to which Colombard and Ugniblanc have been added.
