Bottle Story
In 1907, Mr. Daniel attended a speech in Nashville, by then president Theodore
Roosevelt.
Mr. Jack was so impressed with Mr. Roosevelt, when he returned to Lynchburg,
he and Lem decided to send a special decanter to Washington DC. for his re-
election inaugural.
However, in 1908 Mr. Roosevelt decided not run again. So the bottle idea had to
be put on hold.
Mr. Roosevelt did decide to run again in 1912. However, he would not win the
election and plans for the bottle were put aside until 1984.
The "Inaugural" bottled was released in 1984, on the 80th anniversary of Mr.
Roosevelt's presidency. It would commemorate our favorite gentleman's
admiration of our country's 26th president.
