1890년대에는 린치버그가 링컨 카운티에 속해있었습니다. (현재는 무어 카운티에 속함)

그당시, 잭 다니엘은 그가 생산한 위스키의 일부를 "Belle of Lincoln Straight Whiskey"

라는 이름으로 판매하였습니다.

 

몇년 후, 잭 다니엘은 아름다운 병을 디자인했고, 그 병을 "Belle Bottle"이라고 하였습니다.

적은 수량의 병을 만들었으나, 단 한병도 팔리지 않았으며, 잭은 이 술병들을 모두 나누어

주었지만, 누구에게 주었는지는 밝혀지지 않았습니다. 

 

이 술병은 잭 다니엘의 연인을 위해서 디자인 했다는 소문이 있었으나, 잭 다니엘은 진정한

신사였기 때문에 이 소문은 사실로 학인된 바가 없습니다.

 

"Belle of Lincoln" 상표의 이 위스키는 1911년 잭 다니엘이 사망한 뒤, 잠시동안 생산이

중단되기도 하였습니다.

 

당시의 오리지날 술병은 오늘날 존재하지 않는 것으로 믿고 있으며, 이 술병은 당시 증류소의

오래된 자료와 스케치를 참조해서 새롭게 만든 것입니다.

 

 

Bottle Story

 

In the 1890's, Lynchburg was part of Lincoln County (now Moore County).

During that time, Mr. Jack sold some of his whiskey under the name

"Belle of Lincoln Straight Whiskey".

After several successful years, Mr. Jack designed a beautiful tapered bottle with

his name etched in attractive script.

This was called the "Belle Bottle".

While only a few were ever made, none were ever sold.

Mr. Daniel personally gave them all away.

No one knows who they were given to.

It was rumored that the bottle was either designed for or by one of Mr. Jack's

"belles".

However, since Mr. Daniel was a true gentleman, it would never be confirm!ed.

The "Belle of Lincoln" brand name was discontinued shortly after Mr. Daniel's

death in 1911.

It is believed that none of the original bottles are in existence today.
