Dalmore,
Isle of Jura, Fettercairn 등의 Single Malt Scotch Whisky와 Glayva Liqueur, Vladivar Vodka

등을 생산하고 있습니다.

Whyte & Mackay사는 그 동안 여러번의 주인이 바뀌었으며, 2007년 5월인도의 억만장자 소유인

United Breweries Group5억 9천 5백만 파운드에 팔렸습니다.

이로 인해서 인도의 United Breweries Group은 세계에서 두번째로 큰 규모의 주류 회사가 되었습니다.

The secret of the success of the Whyte & Mackay blend lies in its unique double maturation
process which gives the whisky its smooth taste.

This blending process combines over 40 different malts in oak sherry casks before being
blended with selected aged grain whiskies.
The blend is then returned to another set of sherry casks to complete the second maturation.

This unique double maturation process produces a smoother mellow tasting blend of superior
quality.

30 Years Old Aged Blended Scotch Whisky

It takes 30 long years to create this masterpiece but only seconds to recognise its outstanding quality.

colour:

Bright, golden mahogany.

nose:

Deep and mellow.

The sherry wood exposes itself immediately.

Hearty and grand, the weight of the Speyside malts lingers in graceful harmony.

taste:

A classic refined flavour brought about by its many years in wood.

A blend of this age must be drunk with respect - slow, not hurried.

Each flavour must be given time to reveal its many fine qualities - rich and mellow, elegant and distinguished.

All these excellent attributes are captured on the tongue leaving the palate rewarded and satisfied.

Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Sweet. Elegant. Bourboney. Buttery. Toffee. Cappucino. Barley sugar. Lemon-grass. Star anise. Forest bouquet. Dried leaves, touch of mushroom.
Palate
Round and mellow. Clean and fresh. Candied quince. Honeyed apples. Fruit and nut chocolate.
Finish
Lingering on liquorice. Ginger root.
Comment
Heavier than the 21 Years Old due to its sweetness. But harmonious and elegant.

Dave Broom

Nose
Unctuous. PX/Bristol milk. Walnut, raisin. Very sweet and soft. Moscatel and heathery smoke.
Palate
Mouth coating and soft then the grip of oak. Has a mature character giving it an extra dimension.
Finish
The dry oak lessens and out comes rich sherried flavours.
Comment
Like all old whiskies everything is delivered on the finish.

Whyte & Mackay사 소개

Whyte and Mackay Ltd is a Scottish company producing alcoholic beverages.
It was founded in 1844 and is based in Glasgow, Scotland.

Charles Mackay and James Whyte started a company as whisky merchants and bonded warehousemen

in Glasgow in 1882.

W&M Special was their first blended whisky and it was successful in the United Kingdom and other
English speaking countries around the world (particularly Australia, Canada, New Zealand and
the United States).

After World War II they focused on the home market and now sell more than 1 million cases a year.

The company's brands include Whyte & Mackay Blended Scotch Whiskies, Dalmore Single Malt,
Isle of Jura Single Malt, Fettercairn Single Malt, Glayva liqueur, and Vladivar Vodka.

In May 2007 Whyte and Mackay was acquired by the United Breweries Group of India for £595 million.

Whyte and Mackay were sponsors of the English football team Leeds United from 2003 to 2006,
but their backing did little to save the club from a financial crisis which cost them their place
in the Premier League.

The brand currently sponsors Edinburgh club Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League
and the PDC Premier League Darts
