Royal Salute Hundred Cask Selection은 Release No.1부터 Release No.4까지 4번에 걸쳐서 출시

되었습니다. (Release No.3 = 25,926병, Release No.4 = 29,878병)

Release No.3는 2003년 영국의 엘리자베스2세 여왕의 즉위 50주년을 기념하여 출시하였습니다.

 

2006년 국제 주류경연대회 (International Wine & Spirit Competition)에서 Gold Medal을 수상하였습니다.

 

리치한 건포도향, 상큼한 오렌지향에 밀크 초코렛향이 잔잔히 감도며 촉촉한 과일 케익을 연상시키는 맛이 특징입니다.  

 

 

Royal Salute Hundred Cask Selection Release 3. whisky was made in 2003 to celebrate the 50th
anniversary of Elizabeth II's reign.
At the press conference, Scott mentioned that they needed three different types of wooden butts to achieve

the rare taste of Salute.

 
Old sherry butts gave Salute the taste of fruits,
Large wooden butts filled it with the smell of nuts,
and the Bourbon butts gave it the oak fragrance.

 

Chivas has produced just 25,926 bottles of Salute Cask Release 3.
Each bottle has its own number and is signed by Colin Scott.
Bottles of this fine, once-in-a-lifetime taste are available for only 55 thousand dollars,
which (if you survive the sticker shock) will give you many privileges, such as becoming an
official member of the Royale Salute Cask Owner's Circle.
And by the way, if you are still not sure about making such a purchase, you should also know
that your name will be engraved on the bottle you buy.

 

TASTING NOTE:

Nose : Big and rich.

             Fruit and nut, black cherry, olde english marmalade, peat, touch of moss/fern, dried peels, black banana

             and caramel, some smoke.

Palate : Fruit cake sweetness.

               A thick feel and a broad mid-palate which tapers into a dry spicy finish.

               Water brings out milk chocolate.

Finish : Nutty and long. Comment: Sumptuous, soft and sultry.
