1912년에 증류하여 50년간 숙성 시킨 Meukow Nec Plus Ultra (NPU) 시리즈의 Extra급

꼬냑으로 100% Grande Champagne 오드비를 사용하였습니다.

 

Meukow 꼬냑은 1862년에 중부 유럽의 Silesia (실레지아) 출신인 Auguste-Christophe

Meukow에 의해서 설립되었습니다. (1862. 8. 1.)

 

Silesia (실레지아) 지방은 유럽의 삼각지대 였으며, 1850년대에 러시아의 황제였던 Alexander

II세와의 협정에 의해서 프랑스 영토로 편입되었으며, 그 대가로, 프랑스는 러시아에 꼬냑을 공급

하기로 하였습니다.

 

이로 인해서 만들어진 회사가 A.C. Meukow & Co. 입니다.

 

1912년 Meukow 꼬냑 회사의 창립 50 주년을 기념하여 증류하였으며, 50년간을 오크통 속에서

숙성 시켰습니다.

Extra급 꼬냑입니다.

Meukow NPU 시리즈 중에서 유일하게 Fine Champagne 꼬냑입니다.

핀느 샹파뉴는 꼬냑지방의 6개 지역 중에서 첫번째로 품질이 좋은 Grande Champagne

(그랑드샹파뉴) 지역의 Eaux-de-vie (오드비 = 발효주를 증류한 술, 생명의 물) 50% 이상과,

나머지를 두번째로 품질이 좋은 Petite Champagne (쁘띠뜨 샹파뉴) 지역의 오드비를

Blending (블렌딩)한 꼬냑의 종류를 의미합니다.

1930년에 증류하여 별도의 Paradis 창고에서 75년간 숙성 시킨 100% Grande Champagne

꼬냑을 유명한 프랑스의 Baccarat사의 크리스탈 디캔터와 함께 포장하여 2005년에

총 50병만을 한정판매 하였습니다.

NPU is the pure heritage of the very long experience of Meukow Cognac celabrating its

oldest "Eaux-de-Vie", secretly kept in the Paradis, in its exclusively made Baccarat

crystal decanter.
Drink responsibly.

 

This exceptional blend is made entirely from eau-de-vie of a good age ? the very

youngest must be at least sixty years old ? produced in the Grand Champagne Premier

Cru region.

 

The years spent in oaken casks have given Meukow Nec Plus Ultra a delicate and

elegant aroma with hints of hazelnut, citrus fruits, spices and barely perceptible

intimations of flowers, and a mature, rounded taste with traces of dried fruit, bitter

chocolate and cigars.

The bottle for this luxurious cognac is accompanied by a no less luxurious crystal

decanter by Baccarat ? into which the Meukow Nec Plus Ultra is poured before being

placed on the table.

 

Appearance : NPU Grande Champagne can be distinguished by a deep amber-yellow

colour, brilliant with gold tints.

 

Head : White flowers and orange zest vegetal notes.

 

Heart : The rancio develops leather and walnut aromas.

 

Background : Aromas evolve in finale to cigar box's flowers and cedar, pepper and

liquorice.
