2009년 4월부터 미국시장을 목표로 출시한 마르뗄사 최고의 꼬냑으로, 꼬냑지방의 4개 지역에서

생산한 최고의 오드비들을 블렌딩하여 만들었습니다.

 

블렌딩에 사용된 수백종류의 오드비들 중에는 100년 이상 숙성 시킨 매우 귀한 것들도 있으며,

1830년에 증류한 오드비도 일부 사용되었습니다.

 

이 꼬냑은 완벽추구를 창업이념으로 했던 Jean Martell의 정신을 계승해 온 마르뗄사의 면모를

궁극적으로 표현하는 꼬냑입니다.

 

이 꼬냑을 Dragon Rouge사에서 디자인하여 Sevres사에서 하나하나 수작업으로 생산한 크리스탈

술병에 담았으며, 2009년 4월부터 미국시장에 120병 만을 출시하였습니다.

 

최근에는 중국의 일부 전문점에서도 소량을 판매하고 있습니다.

 

 

Tasting Note :

 

Color : amber color with hints of shimmering mahogany

Martell is one of the leading brands when it comes to fine cognac.

They recently announced L’Or de Jean Martell which is a double distillation of the clearest

eau-de-vie, a sophisticated combination of the four finest growths — Grand Champagne,

Petite Champagne, Fins Bois and Borderies — and a lengthy maturation in fine-grain oak barrels.

Martell Cognac has long been linked with the sense of French refinement, and every bottle embodies

the experience of unrivalled craftsmen: cellar masters, growers, distillers and coopers all who have

handed down their expertise from generation to generation.

 

It is the skill and vision of these craftsmen that has made the House of Martell an icon of French

excellence and resulted in the presentation of L’Or de Jean Martell, the ultimate statement of luxury.

 

The decanter of this fine cognac is made up of Cristal de Sevres which happens to be the finest

crystal.

 

Every decanter that encases this cognac is hand blown and carries the subtle French classical style.

 

Only a limited quantity (120 bottles) will be available in U.S. starting April 2009 and will carry a price tag

of $3,600 each.

 

The exclusive packaging was designed by Dragon Rouge.

 

 

The Cognac owes its rich and complex character to the aged eau-de-vie from Borderies –

the smallest and most exclusive growing region in Cognac.

As the spirit matures, the candied-fruit notes offset the power and depth of the spirit's Grand

Champagne eau-de-vie.

L'Or, the culmination of Martell's nearly three hundred year quest for perfection, is a blending of

several hundred eau-de-vie, some of which have aged for more than a century like hidden

treasures deep in the house's cellars.

These secret cellars, rechristened the "Chai Jean Martell" or Jean Martell Cellars, hold

exceptionally rare spirits, some dating back to 1830.

It is from here, to which only a chosen few have access, that many of the eau-de-vie for

L'Or de Jean Martell are drawn.

The liquid has an intense amber color with hints of shimmering mahogany.

The nose holds extraordinarily complex aromas of fruited candy, sweet spices and gingerbread

created by the unique blend of Borderies and Grand Champagne growths.

On the palate, the attack is silky smooth and subtle moving towards the richer more substantial

flavors of orange peel, prune and gingerbread.

The finish is beautifully long and elegant.
