2000년 10월 3일 Suntory Old Whisky 발매 50주년을 기념하여 소량 한정 생산하였습니다.

(1899년 설립, 1923년부터 위스키 본격 생산, 1950년 Suntory Old 발매 시작)

 

쉐리통에서 10년 이상 숙성 시킨 몰트 위스키가 사용되었습니다.

 

실제로 Suntory Old Whisky가 생산되기 시작한 것은 1940년 이었습니다만, 제2차 세계대전으로

인해 판매를 무기한 연기하였으며, 1945년 전쟁이 끝난 후에도 당분간은 위스키를 판매 할 수 없었으며,

1946년부터 다시 일부 위스키를 조금씩 판매하기 시작하여, 1950년 이 Suntory Old Whisky를 시작으로

본격적인 위스키 판매를 재개하였습니다. 

 

 

Suntory Commemorates Whisky OLD's 50th Anniversary

 

On October 3rd 2000, Suntory will begin selling a limited quantity of its premium whisky brand Whisky OLD

in a special commemorative bottle to mark the product's 50th anniversary.

The rich whisky contains malt that has been aged over 10 years in a sherry cask.

The product will retail for 2,000 yen in a 700 ml bottle.

Suntory will also kick off promotional campaigns in early October for its NEW/OLD and OLD 43° whisky products.

A 700 ml bottle of NEW/OLD is priced at 1,510 yen, while a bottle of OLD 43° will retail for 1,780 yen.
