Famous Grouse는 1990년 부터 스코틀랜드 국가대표 럭비팀을 공식 후원하고 있으며, 영국내의

럭비 경기는 물론, 국제적인 럭비 경기에도 많은 후원을 하고 있습니다.

때문에, 스코틀랜드에서 가장 인기 있는 Famous Grouse Whisky는 럭비를 상징하는 위스키로서,

"럭비의 술"로 인정받고 있습니다.

 

이 위스키는 스코틀랜드 럭비팀의 홈구장인 Murrayfield stadium의 건립 80 주년을 기념하여 67,800 병만을

한정 생산하였습니다.

 

Famous Grouse 위스키는  스카치 위스키의 본고장인 스코틀랜드에서 가장 인기 있는 위스키 입니다.

 

Famous Grouse Blended Whisky에 사용되는 몰트 위스키의 비율은 35%이며, 핵심몰트위스키는

Highland Park, Tamdhu, Macallan. Glenturret (스코틀랜드에서 가장 오랜 증류소) 등의 몰트 위스키가

사용되었습니다.

나머지 65%의 그레인 위스키는 North British와  Cambus가 사용되었습니다.
