Tasting Notes by Michael Jackson

Nose	Smoky, "garden bonfire" sweetness, heathery, malty, hint of sherry.

Palate

Exceptionally smooth. Succulent, with smoky dryness, heather-honey sweetness and maltiness.

Finish

Teasing, heathery, delicious.

Comment

A beautifully balanced classic islander.

Nose	One of the world's most subtle and teasing noses: delicate wafts of smoke mingle effortlessly with sweet malt. Salt, apples leather and heather.

Palate

Intensely malty and fresh at first. Fabulous bitter-sweet balance which pans out on the sweet side with a gentle build-up of honey.

Finish

Long, smoky with a heathery dryness.

Comment

This malt does change slightly from vatting to vatting. A 12-year-old classic.
