거위는 수세기 동안 인간이 사용해 온 가장 오래된 길들여진 동물 중의 하나 입니다.
샤보 아르마냑의 거위들은 농장과 숙성 창고를 지키는 보초의 역할을 해 왔습니다.
150여 년이 지난 현재는 거위를 경비로 사용하고 있지는 않지만, 그 전통을 지키고

있습니다.

샤보사의 창립 150 주년을 기념하여, Haviland (아빌랑)사에서 특별히 제작한
가스꼬니 지방의 거위 모양의 도자기 술병에 XO급과 Extra급 아르마냑을
담아 5,000병 한정 생산 하였습니다.

 

후에 Bernardaud (베르나르도)사의 리모쥐 도자기로 교체하였습니다.

 

Chabot geese were conceived to honour the well known geese from Armagnac

traditionally used to guard the cellars holding the ageing barrels of Armagnac.

Each decanter is individually numbered and is presented in a limited series.

 

Tasting notes :

Contains Chabot XO ; a shiny caramel colour ; a nose of almond and plum
enhanced by a slight cane sugar scent.
In the mouth it is full, heady and has a hint of plum flavour.
Strong and powerful finish.
